What are the most popular reasons people buy hot tubs?
A hot tub purchase goes well beyond home improvement, entertainment, or luxury. A hot tub is an investment in your health and well-being.
Our HotSpring® owners say that they have more energy, sleep better, and do more with their day when they use their hot tubs.
The physical wellness benefits of hot tubs are delivered in three ways:
- Heat increases circulation by dilating blood vessels
- Buoyancy relieves joint stress by reducing your weight by 90%
- Powerful jets soothe away tension with massage.
These elements work together to provide a variety of health benefits that ultimately allow our owners to lead more active and fulfilled lives.
Which hot tub chemicals are best?
There are three main approaches to hot tub water care.
Traditional spa water care is the most manual approach and also the least expensive.
Traditional care requires the spa owner to manually add an approved sanitizer to the spa once a week and before each use. With traditional spa water care, you will typically use one of two sanitizers – Chlorine or Bromine. These are the primary actors for killing bacteria and viruses as well as preventing algae growth.
Chlorine levels should stay between 3 and 5 parts per million. Do not use tri-chlor chlorine, any compressed bromine or chlorine, acid, or any sanitizer which isn’t recommended specifically for your spa.
Ozone with MPS and Silver Ions is slightly more expensive than traditional water care. While still a manual process, it requires less interaction from the spa owner than traditional water care.
The main benefit is crystal clear spa water with very little chlorine needed.
Typically the most expensive option, saltwater systems generate the sanitizer needed, making water care much more hands-free.
Depending on the type of salt system you choose, there are several added benefits to consider – including better-feeling and longer-lasting spa water. HotSpring®’s new FreshWater™ Salt System is designed to make water care as easy as possible.
Available on all HotSpring® Highlife® and Limelight® Collection spas, this easy-to-use saltwater system eliminates the worry of keeping spa water clean, clear, and sanitized for an entire year.
With a little salt in your spa water, the system automatically generates chlorine, so you’ll spend less time measuring and adding chemicals.
What’s involved in hot tub maintenance?
Hot tub maintenance is a breeze with the right tools.
East Texas Hot Tub offers a variety of water care systems, as well as spa care products.
The easiest way to maintain your tub is with our FreshWater™ Salt System.
An electrode cell transfers energy to the water to convert salt into a sanitizer in any salt system. When using a saltwater system, the hot tub owner still needs to balance the spa water and dip a test strip to determine how often the system should run. The electrode cell automatically creates the sanitizer, so the spa owner spends much less time manually treating the spa. The spa owner will need to replace the cell at regular intervals. These intervals vary depending on the type of system you have.
HotSpring® designed the FreshWater™ Salt System to make water care more effortless than ever. This system eliminates the worry of keeping spa water clean and sanitized for an entire year. Spa ownership is easier than ever with the FreshWater™ Salt System, nearly eliminating the guesswork and hassle of water care maintenance.
How often would I need to service my hot tub?
Depending on what hot tub and water system you have, the number of times you’ll need to service your hot tub will vary.
However, the FreshWater™ Salt System allows you only to have to service your hot tub once a year! Alternative options typically require weekly or monthly service.
Are hot tubs good for your health?
